Training in Sales and Personal Services courses will lead to a variety of careers in retail, hairdressing or beauty services. Graduates will gain skills in customer service which are transferable to a number of industry areas.
Hairdressing
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to cut, colour and style hair using clippers or scissors. You will also learn skills to operate a cash register, perform reception duties such as answering telephone calls and making appointments and write up client record cards. Beauty
Learn essential skills for work placement in the exciting world of beauty, where qualified nail technicians & make-up artists have the luxury of owning their own salons, or travelling the world working everywhere from day spas to the film and fashion industries. Students graduate with confidence and pristine skills needed to enter the beauty industry.
Retail
Retail is a dynamic career choice, where you will develop customer service skills to a professional and enthusiastic standard. Working in retail can provide fantastic opportunities to work in diverse fields as well as in various aspects of the industry – from sales assistant to store manager.
Curtin VTEC is changing!
As of January 2011 Curtin University VTEC courses will be provided by the Government of Western Australia's new Vocational Training and Education Centre - VTEC.
