Community Recreation
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to start a career within the sport and recreation industry. You will learn how to work effectively in a recreational organisation and how to provide emergency care. This course can lead to a career as a recreation centre attendant or to further studies in health and fitness.
Fitness
Those who are fitness conscious will find a qualification in fitness will lead you to a rewarding career in a range of areas including recreational facilities, sporting associations, schools, gym instructors, personal trainers, sports development officers and community recreation officers. In conjunction with theory work, fitness students undergo practical work experience where they gain a professional insight into fitness, sports management and exercise rehabilitation.
Curtin VTEC is changing!
As of January 2011 Curtin University VTEC courses will be provided by the Government of Western Australia's new Vocational Training and Education Centre - VTEC.
